A 1: No authentic, explicit hadith has come in the pure Sunnah indicating placing the feet together while standing in prayer or while prostrating. Based on this, the original ruling is that the one praying should not strain to place his feet together or spread them too much, but rather he should be moderate. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
