Q: Where is Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in His Essence?
A: Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is in the sky, rising above His Throne in His Essence, distinct from His creation. The Exalted said:[Taha 20:5], and He (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Al-Hadid 57:4],
And when it is established in the hadith, and He, Glorified and Exalted is He, is in His Highness above His Throne, overlooking His creation on earth and in the sky; He sees them and hears them, and nothing of them is hidden from Him, Blessed and Exalted is He. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

A: Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is in the sky, rising above His Throne in His Essence, distinct from His creation. The Exalted said:
The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.
الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىIt is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْـزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌAnd when it is established in the hadith
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the slave girl, "Where is Allah?" She said, "In the sky." He said, "Free her, for she is a believer."
أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم سأل الجارية أين الله؟ فقالت: في السماء. فقال: أعتقها فإنها مؤمنة
