Fatwa number ( 7303 )
Q: I got married and Allah blessed me with a child, who passed away on the third day of his life, and at that time we were in Egypt . Then I became pregnant twice after that, and a miscarriage occurred in both instances at the beginning of the third month of pregnancy. After that, I became pregnant and came to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work there as a teacher. The pregnancy continued, and I would see the specialist doctor at the Maternity Hospital in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah every two weeks, until the time of delivery arrived on the 10th of Rabi' al-Awwal of this year, 1404 AH. The delivery was by cesarean section, and the newborn girl was placed in the incubator for three days. On the fourth day, I learned from my husband that the girl had died, and he had buried her in al-Baqi' . I also learned from him that while he was washing her, he found a drop of blood coming from her nose, despite her having died ten hours before the washing, and she had been placed in the special refrigerator for that purpose. I would like to inform you of the following:
I used to tie up a cat I had at home, while we were in Egypt . She gave birth to three kittens. My husband was displeased with them and threw them outside the house, so two of the three died, and the mother brought the other one back to the house. After the death of my first child, one of the elders told me: the death of the child is connected to something your husband did. I did not believe that. After the death of my second child, I ask you: Is there any connection between the death of my first child and my second daughter—especially since she was born in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah —and the first matter, which is my husband throwing the kittens ? And if this is true, what is the solution to this problem? For the record, I always have compassion for kittens and love to raise and care for them. On the other hand, I love children and have compassion for them. Or is what happened the will of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?

A : We do not know if the death of your two children is connected to what happened from your husband regarding throwing the cats or not; rather, knowledge of that belongs to Allah. In any case, everything that happened was by the will of Allah and His decree and divine decree and destiny. You must be patient with what has befallen you, and seek reward from Allah. Ask Allah to compensate you with something better than what He took from you, to avert the trial from you, to bless you in the offspring He gives you, and to protect them from the schemes of the jinn and human Shayatins. Perhaps Allah will accept the supplication and grant you righteous offspring who live a good life. For the reins of affairs belong to Allah alone, Exalted is He. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things Capable. None can prevent what He has given, and none can give what He has withheld, and He is the Strong, the Mighty.
the All-Powerful, the One who prevents no one from what He has given, and gives no one what He has prevented, and He is the Strong, the Mighty.
