She swore to divorce her if she did not read from the Qur'an right now

The seventh question of Fatwa number ( 9404 )
Q7: I said to her: “By Allah, you are divorced if you do not read from the Qur'an right now,” and it was open in front of her. Then I do not know if she read or not. After a while, I asked her, and she said that she had read al-Fatihah in secret. I do not know if she is being truthful with me or lying to me so that I do not leave her. Is my wife lawful for me, or has she become divorced?
A7: If the situation is as described, your wife has not been divorced unless it is proven that she lied in her claim that she read, and you intended the divorce if she did not read. However, if you intended to urge her to read and did not intend to effect the divorce,
then you owe an oath expiation if you know that she did not read. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
