Is it permissible to correct the khatib on Friday if he makes a mistake in a verse or a hadith, or to correct the one who corrects him if he also makes a mistake?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to correct the khatib on Friday if he makes a mistake in a verse or a hadith, or to correct the one who corrects him if he also makes a mistake?

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
In the Friday sermon, it is obligatory for those present to listen and pay attention to it, and it is not permissible for them to be occupied with it by speaking, praying, or reciting, until returning a greeting or responding to a sneeze is not permissible for them, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If you say to your companions: ‘Be quiet’ on a Friday while the Imam is delivering the sermon, you have engaged in Laghw (idle talk or behaviour). إذا قلت لصاحبك: أنصت يوم الجمعة والإمام يخطب فقد لغوت
Sunan Ibn Majah 1110Sahih (Darussalam)
and
The one who speaks while the imam is delivering the sermon on Friday is like a donkey carrying books الذي يتكلم والإمام يخطب يوم الجمعة كمثل الحمار يحمل أسفاراً
, except that it is permissible for the khatib and for the one who speaks to the khatib out of need, and the evidence for that is:
A man entered on Friday while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, and he said: O Messenger of Allah! The wealth has been destroyed and the roads have been cut off, so call upon Allah to send us relief, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not rebuke him, but rather he made a supplication
,
And a man entered while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon and sat down, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Have you prayed? He said: No. He said: Stand up and pray two rak'ahs, and make them brief ودخل رجل والنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب فجلس فقال له النبي: أصليت؟ قال: لا، قال: قم فصل ركعتين وتجوز فيهما
, and in these two hadiths is evidence that it is permissible for the imam and for those present to speak for the sake of public benefit or need, and on this basis, if the imam makes a mistake in reciting a verse from the Book of Allah, he is corrected, and there is no harm in that, and if someone corrects him and makes a mistake in the correction, then it is permissible for another to correct the imam in the correct manner, not intending by his correction that he is correcting the one who made the mistake, but intending by his correction to correct the imam in the correct manner, and there is no harm in that.
