Is it permissible for a divorced woman who menstruates every two months to take pills to induce menstruation so that her waiting period does not become prolonged?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The woman says: O honorable Shaykh, is it permissible for a divorced woman who menstruates every two months to take pills to induce menstruation so that her waiting period does not become prolonged?

The Shaykh : Do not do this, because her husband has the right, as it is possible that with the length of the waiting period he will take her back. When a man takes back his wife during the waiting period, he does so without a bridal gift and without a new contract. Therefore, her hastening the menstruation to end the waiting period causes harm to the husband and deprives him of his right. So do not use this. Yes, if it is assumed that her husband has no right to take her back, as if she were observing the waiting period after the final divorce, it may be said that there is nothing wrong with her hastening the menstruation in order to be relieved of the waiting period and to marry someone other than her husband. Yes.
