The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 6719 )
Q4: Is it permissible to perform the funeral prayer without raising the hands with the takbirs?
A4: It is permissible to perform the funeral prayer without raising the hands; because the obligatory acts in it are the takbirs, reciting al-Fatihah, making du'a for the deceased, and the taslim. However, raising the hands is the recommended practice (sunnah) in all the takbirs. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
