Washing the Frozen Deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 12125 )
Q1: A Muslim man died in the hospital and was placed in the refrigerator for three days until the burial procedures were completed. After he was taken out of the refrigerator, his body was stiff with frost, so we took him to one of the burial grounds to be washed. The washer washed him in the state he was in—his body was still stiff with frost—and thus we were unable to bend him (sit him up) or move him, even if there was something in his stomach, such as gas, that needed to be released. What is the ruling in this case, and what is the correct procedure? Please inform us.
A1: If the matter is as you described, the washing performed on the deceased after he was taken out of the refrigerator is valid and sufficient. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
