A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: A Muslim must follow what came from Allah and His Messenger if he is able to derive the rulings himself. If he is not able to do so, he should ask the scholars about what is difficult for him regarding his religion, and he should seek out the most knowledgeable scholar he can find to ask him, either in person or in writing. It is not permissible for a Muslim to follow the school of the Imami Shi'ah , nor the Zaydi Shi'ah, nor their like from the people of innovation; such as the Khawarij and the Mu'tazilah.
and the Jahmiyyah and others. As for his affiliation with one of the four famous schools of jurisprudence, there is no blame in it, provided he does not become fanatical about the school he has affiliated with, and does not contradict the evidence for the sake of it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
