Going out to the prayer ground.

The Shaykh : And among that is: that the people go out to the prayer ground for the festival, that the people go out to the prayer ground for the festival. The imam prays the prayer for rain and prays the prayer for rain just as he prays in the festival. And he delivers one sermon. And if he wishes, he may precede the sermon before the prayer, because both matters have been reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And he supplicates with the appropriate supplication. This week, if Allah wills, the prayer for rain will be held the day after tomorrow by the order of the one in authority. And you know that our country is vast in extent, so even if we were in the middle of the Kingdom, there would be no need for rain, because the rainy season has begun recently. But there are vast areas that need rain. And the scholars say: one should seek rain even if the drought or the severe drought is in a land other than his own. So the matter is clear, and praise be to Allah. We should go out with the Muslims on this day to supplicate to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and draw near to Him (the Exalted) through prayer. And let the people know that they have no refuge in times of hardship except Allah (Mighty and Majestic), who is capable of removing it (Blessed and Exalted is He).
