Explaining the error of one who enters the gathering and then greets each person with a specific salam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And now our brother here has entered and surprised us with a religious innovation... perhaps he will come to greet you.
The student : ... .

The Shaykh : ... May Allah bless you. The Sunnah, before I tell you, without blame, I do not know your direction, but I asked my brothers that if we point out the error to the brother, he will bear it, and they told me, "Be assured of all good."
The student : Have good opinion of us.

The Shaykh : So the important thing is that there is a custom now, and in my opinion, some Islamic parties have innovated it, because... the Sunnah, they innovate what has no basis in the Sunnah, because it is a phenomenon that appears to the general public, to all people, as Islamic, while it is not Islamic, because it is a religious innovation... one salam, "As-salamu alaykum," "As-salamu alaykum," "As-salamu alaykum," how many salams according to the number of people sitting? This is a religious innovation.
for which Allah has sent down no authority مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ
[Yusuf 12:40]
And if, for example, you entered and gave one salam, but the Shaykh must specify it with a special salam, no, the Shaykh is like the others, right? The first salam that included everyone, the Shaykh entered with them and is not distinguished by a salam, let alone distinguishing each person sitting with a salam. You entered the gathering, "As-salamu alaykum," not "As-salamu alayka," "As-salamu alaykum," and then if the handshake is facilitated as you did, it is light upon light, but "As-salamu alaykum," "As-salamu alaykum," this has no basis. May it be clear, if Allah wills.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
