The reality of the Salafi call is not based on a policy of gathering people and then educating them.

The Shaykh : In conclusion, this is a word of fairness. It is not permissible for us to conceal knowledge or to attack individuals who may agree with us in much of our call but differ from us in some of our methodology. As Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Az-Zalzalah 99:7-8] I know, through my own experience in this long era that I have spent more than half a century in the knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah and in associating with many of the other Islamic groups that do not practically adopt our Salafi methodology, that many of their leaders, let alone those below them, adopt the Salafi methodology in creed and thought. But, unfortunately, they do not apply it practically nor call people to it, because their methodology has deviated from this call. This is because their methodology was based on what I would describe as calling people to gather and assemble, then to educate them, and after that, no gathering and no education. More than half a century has passed, and their voice has become prominent that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is their leader, and most of them, up to this era, except for those whom Allah has provided with a righteous community like this community here or there, have known the correct creed and believed in it, but they have accepted it only for themselves and do not see it as beneficial for their call to call people to it. Why? Because it contradicts the foundation of their call, which is based on the principle of "gather then educate." As for the call of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), it is the opposite of that: educate [An-Nahl 16:125] and then it is no concern of yours; whoever wills, let him believe, and whoever wills, let him disbelieve. This is our call and this is our way. We cannot assert with certainty that the Muslim state will be established, which all Muslims agree is obligatory to realize, but they differed in the means and causes. So whoever takes the means that the Shari'ah brought, which that caller summarized in this essential word: "Establish the state of Islam in your hearts, and it will be established for you on your land," meaning as the Exalted said: [At-Tawbah 9:105] And this extent is sufficient, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
