Is the weakness severe if the narrator is weak, a practitioner of concealment, and inconsistent in his hadith?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, we have received some requests regarding all the questions in the science of hadith and men, whereas there is no question in the science of hadith except for one.
It says: If the narrator is weak, a practitioner of concealment, and inconsistent in his hadith, is the weakness severe?

The Shaykh : Repeat it.

The questioner : If the narrator is weak, a practitioner of concealment, and inconsistent in his hadith, is the weakness severe?

The Shaykh : He does not remain in a state of weakness; the whole matter is that two defects are present in him. If either one of them were present on its own, he would be weak. So, when two defects are present, both of which make him weak, his hadith does not become more weak, meaning it is not said of him that he is severely weak. Especially since it is possible that, if he is a practitioner of concealment, he may have explicitly mentioned the transmission. And if he did not explicitly mention the transmission, he remains weak. It is possible that he is developed by other weak narrators whose weakness is not severe. The rank is the same: he is weak, and it is not said of someone like him that he is very weak. This is what we know from the scholars of hadith. Yes.
