The criterion by which it is known that a hasan li-ghayrihi hadith contains a Shari'ah ruling.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So, a hasan hadith is either one by which a Shari'ah ruling is established, or one by which it is not. If it is well known among the majority of scholars that it establishes a ruling, then it contains a belief, and it is necessary to act upon it because it is a ruling. It does not harm us that it contains a belief, because this is a matter on which there is near consensus regarding the hasan hadith. As for the sahih hadith, there is no doubt that it is obligatory to act upon it in matters of rulings. And if we understand the explanation that preceded, then acting upon a hasan hadith that contains a ruling means that if a report comes that does not contain a ruling but contains a belief, and its chain of narration is hasan, it is obligatory to act upon it, just as it is obligatory to act upon it regarding a ruling, because it is a ruling that includes a belief.
