Is seclusion prescribed in every time and place, or only in the end times?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is seclusion prescribed in every time and place, or only in the end times? Is it restricted, meaning...

The Shaykh : ...restricted or absolute? Absolute means in every time. It is restricted to one who cannot preserve his religion if he does not isolate himself from people, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the hadith of Ibn 'Umar:
The believer who mixes with people and endures their injury is better than the person who does not mix with people nor endure their injury. المؤمن الذي يخالط الناس ويصبر على أذاهم خير من الذي لا يخالطهم ولا يصبر على أذاهم
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 388
So whoever is patient in any time and place, and no fitnah (trial) befalls him in his religion or his self, is stronger than the one who isolates himself from them, because he does not endure their harm and fears its fitnah.
