What is the ruling on children's toys "manufactured statues"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Does this apply to children's toys?

The Shaykh : Rebuke whom?

The questioner : Children's toys - statues - ... in children's toys?

The Shaykh : Children's toys, children's toys: if they are of the kind of toys that have invaded homes from Europe, there is no doubt that these are forbidden. As for the children's toys that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted for Aisha, they are of the household type. There is a profound wisdom in permitting these household images; because the girl gets accustomed from a young age - and peace be upon you - to what she should practice regarding sewing, mending, patching, and so on. As for the ready-made images and dolls that come from Europe, in addition to being the work of disbelievers, they represent their morals, customs, and traditions. A clear example of this is that you see some of these toys as a girl with golden hair... and a short skirt that reveals half of her thigh. All of this, through these images, we are bringing fashions into our homes, and our girls grow up imitating these three-dimensional images. It is not permissible to bring them in at all under the name of girls' toys.
