Clarification of the misguidance and confusion of these innovators due to their philosophy of distinguishing between ahad and mutawatir reports, resulting from their deviation from the methodology of the Salaf.

So they are confused, misguided, and deviant because of the philosophy by which they departed from what the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were upon, namely not distinguishing between hadiths, treating them as ahad or as mutawatir. There was absolutely no distinction among the Salaf, nor among any of the four Imams who followed the righteous Salaf in their beliefs, except for some of the followers of the followers who deviated from some of the misguided sects, such as the Mu'tazilah, the Khawarij, and the like. These people opposed the path of the believers, so the warning of the Lord of the Worlds is deserved for them: . This is a very clear example that confirms to you that clinging to the Book and the Sunnah alone does not benefit them. They denied the Sunnah in what relates to what they called ahad hadiths. The protection, the protection, is clinging to what the Salaf were upon.
