Is it permissible to delay forbidding a person who has fallen, for example, into shirk (associating partners with Allah) or kufr (disbelief), and likewise a person who has fallen into what is forbidden for the sake of benefit, or because a greater fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) would result if he were forbidden?
Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Nahl: 125] The path of wisdom is what a person must follow. If he sees that he should not confront his companion with immediate forbidding, but rather wait a little and then employ forbidding with him, that is good.
