Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (He raised its height and made it even)

Allah the Exalted said:

He raised its height and made it even

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا

[Al-Nazi'at: 28] (He raised) means: above the earth, and He, Mighty and Majestic, raised it without pillars,As Allah the Exalted said:

It is Allah who erected the heavens without pillars that you [can] see

اللَّهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا

[Al-Ra'd: 2] (and made it even) means: He made it level and He made it complete and perfect, just as the Exalted said regarding the creation of man:

⁽⁶⁾ O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, ⁽⁷⁾ Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

يَا أَيُّهَا الْأِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ * الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

[Al-Infitar: 6-7] meaning: He made you even, complete in creation, so Allah, Mighty and Majestic, made the sky even in the same way.
