The Danger of Hating the Committed
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the ruling on one who hates the committed young men and opposes them, saying: They are the evil of the country?Does it fall under: (Whoever hates anything from what the Messenger brought, even if he acts upon it.
) ؟
The one who hates the committed and the callers to the truth because of their upholding of the Shari'ah of Allah or their calling to the truth, it is feared that he is like those about whom Allah said: [At-Tawbah: 65] and he will be one who hates the Shari'ah of Allah.
As for the one who hates a person for his own sake, not because he is committed, this does not fall under the verse.
If someone were to say: What is the difference? We said: The difference is great; because whoever hates him for his commitment has hated him for his religion, and whoever hates him with personal hatred has not hated him for his religion.
And I give you an example: Some people, when they see a young man raise his garment to the middle of the calf, hate him; but if they saw one of our senior scholars raise his garment to the middle of the calf, would they hate the scholar? No.
So his hatred of the young man is not because he is committed! Some people hate this person when they see him as committed, but do not hate his like if he has his value in the society.
And this issue is very, very delicate.
We must say to this man: Did you hate him because of your hatred of what he did from the Sunnah, or is it personal hatred? If he says the former.
We said: This is hatred for what Allah revealed,And Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says: [Muhammad: 9] .
And when he said: Whether he did this or did not do this, I hate this man, or I think he is rigid so I hate him for his rigidity.
We said: This hatred does not make its owner a disbeliever, nor does he become like the first one.
And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing."
وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُAs for the one who hates a person for his own sake, not because he is committed, this does not fall under the verse.

That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
