Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, Acquainted)
Allah the Exalted said: [al-Hujurat:13] :— in every matter; because here it is absolute, and it was not restricted by any condition whatsoever.
And knowledge of the inner realities is: knowledge of the hidden aspects of things. Knowledge of the outward aspects is undoubtedly an attribute of praise and perfection; but knowledge of the hidden aspects is more eloquent. So He is All-Knowing of the outward aspects, and Acquainted with the hidden aspects. When knowledge and acquaintance are combined, this becomes more eloquent in terms of comprehensive understanding.
And it may be said: Acquaintance has a meaning that goes beyond knowledge; because the expert among people is the one who is knowledgeable about a thing and skilled in it, unlike the person who has only knowledge but no skill, for he is not called an expert. So on this basis, the expert includes a meaning that is added to knowledge.
