The ruling on one who argues for the permissibility of the Mawlid based on public celebrations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The innovators are those who say: You commemorate the anniversaries of certain people, or for example, what happened regarding the week of Imam Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him),They say: We did something similar to this, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is greater than Imam Muhammad?
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is greater than every human being, but commemorating the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is not specific to this night. I mentioned to you just now that every act of worship involves commemorating the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). This is from one aspect.

From another aspect: The week of Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, was it made into a festival that recurs? We say: It was not made into a festival. You are making this a recurring festival, and a festival is something that returns and recurs. You are making this a recurring festival every year, and this is the evil. Therefore, if someone on a certain day were to speak about the sending of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his visit, we would not say: that he is an innovator. But to make this a recurring festival every year like the legislated festivals, like 'Id al-Fitr and 'Id al-Adha, this is the evil. And even if the week of Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab is a mistake, do we measure a mistake by a mistake? We do not measure it.

The questioner: If someone from them were to say: This is not an act of worship?Answer: What do they mean? The questioner: A commemoration.

Answer: They mean sitting like the people of entertainment who sing,They say: We love the Messenger. Is loving the Messenger a matter of religion or not? It is religion and worship.
