I am the guardian of my orphan sisters, and I hold the money they inherited from their father, and I have a piece of land

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His Eminence the Shaykh says: I am the guardian of my orphan sisters, and I hold the money they inherited from their father. I have a piece of land. What is your opinion if I build a rest house on this land, rent it out, and we share the rent among us?

The Shaykh : Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best وَلا تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
[Al-An'am 6:152]
. If you see that this is better, there is no blame on you. But if you are in doubt, do not do it. And if it is most likely in your opinion that there will be a loss in this, do not do it either. This is if they are orphans. An orphan is one whose father died before he reached puberty. Accordingly, when a male or female reaches puberty, the description of being an orphan ceases to apply to him or her.
