What is the meaning of the statement that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In her first question, she asks about the hadith, the meaning of which is that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that a woman is entirely 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) except for her face and hands in prayer, and that the feet were not mentioned. Is it permissible to expose the feet in prayer?

The Shaykh : I do not know of a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the meaning mentioned by the questioner. Rather, this is a statement by some jurists that a woman in prayer is entirely 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) except for her face, and some of them say except for her face, hands, and feet. The scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) differ regarding the woman's hands and feet: are they 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) in prayer or not?
The precaution is for the woman to cover her entire body except for her face, unless there are non-mahram men around her. If there are non-mahram men around her, it is obligatory for her to cover her face from these men as well. And when she prostrates on the ground, she removes the covering from her face so that her forehead touches the ground, because in this state no one sees her. And when she stands up and there are non-mahram men around her, she covers her face. This is the best, most complete, and most precautionary for her religion. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
So he, who saves himself from these doubtful things, saves his religion and his honor من اتقى الشبهات فقد استبرأ لدينه وعرضه
