Is it permissible for me to go to university, knowing that it is about twenty kilometers from my home and is mixed, especially my faculty?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for me to go to university, knowing that it is about twenty kilometers from my home and is mixed, especially my faculty? The transportation is crowded with men and women together, and also when entering the university, they ask me to remove the niqab from my face, especially during exam times. Is this considered a dire necessity? And is it permissible for me to disobey my father and my family while they insist on my going, on the grounds that I must obtain a degree and it will be a weapon in this age? Please advise us, may you be rewarded.

The Shaykh : What I see is that it is not permissible for a woman to uncover her face, because the evidence from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and the correct understanding, indicate that it is obligatory for a woman to cover her face. Accordingly, if she is ordered to uncover her face, she must refrain. If her family insists that she do this, she must convince them that this is not permissible. If this becomes clear to them and they excuse her for it, that is a favor from Allah upon her and upon them. If it does not become clear to them, or if it becomes clear and they insist that she uncover her face, she must not do it and must not uncover her face, even if her family and parents become angry about it. For Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
(14) And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. (15) But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
[Luqman 31:14-15]
Therefore, parents are not to be obeyed in disobedience to Allah. Obedience is only in what is right, and there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.
