What is the ruling on praying while a man’s head is uncovered?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on praying while a man’s head is uncovered?

The Shaykh : It is permissible for a man to pray with his head uncovered, meaning with his head exposed, because covering the head is not obligatory. However, if a person is in a country where it is customary to cover the head, and they consider it part of perfect adornment, then it is better for the person to cover his head with the clothing that people usually wear, due to the generality of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid يا بني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد
[Al-A'raf 7:31]
.
So here in our country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are accustomed to covering the head with the taqiyah and the ghutrah. Therefore, covering our heads with these is better than leaving them uncovered, because this is part of the complete adornment that Allah the Exalted commanded us to take, in His saying:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid يا بني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد
[Al-A'raf 7:31]
.
