The Shaykh’s remarks on the Juhayman incident in the Makkah Haram.

The Shaykh : So I will bring up an example from our recent reality, indeed from what the entire Islamic world has suffered, and here the previously mentioned Quranic principle applies to us: no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another. This is the incident of al-Masjid al-Haram. The incident of al-Masjid al-Haram undoubtedly occurred at the hands of a group known to be Salafis, belonging to the Salafi da'wah. On one hand, they are considered to be among my students, although if these people had been of the generation that received knowledge from me when I was a professor of hadith and hadith jurisprudence at the Islamic University fifteen years ago, we would have said, by Allah, it is possible that these are the ones who raised him.The Shaykh : Al-Albani, and this is the effect of his upbringing. But these people did not encounter me there; rather, they are acquiring some of our printed materials. This is the broader culture. It was a very rare culture. I made two trips to that country: an 'Umrah in Ramadan and Hajj to the House of Allah. They would meet with me for one or two days, one or two hours each day, and that was it. So they were counted among us.
