The Reliance of Takfirists in Iraq on the Book *The Phenomenon of the Murji'ah* by Safer al-Hawali, Supervised by Muhammad Qutb

The questioner : They, our Shaykh and our father, if Allah wills, relied on the book *The Murji'ah* by Safer al-Hawali, which was supervised by Muhammad Qutb. They looked at it with a perspective that leans, I believe, and Allah knows best, I do not want to wrong the man, there is something else in it besides the scientific investigation of this issue in the book *The Murji'ah*. He tried to attribute to it that everyone who does not declare someone a disbeliever, he tried to attribute them to the Murji'ah. And this is the error. They tell you, if you say, for example, that declaring someone a disbeliever has conditions that must be met and impediments that must be removed, they tell you that you are defending and compromising. And sometimes they say you are being a hypocrite, you want to be a hypocrite, such and such. And Allah is my witness, we did not want anything but the Face of Allah in knowing His religion, meaning knowing His Shari'ah.

The questioner : And you bear a lot of talk against us that we are compromising, either with the police or with the common people, to whom we say that declaring someone a disbeliever has rules and such.
