Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: All right, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : This brother who enters parliament.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : Is it permissible to sit with him under his electoral headquarters, if I see it as disobedience and approval of the taghut?

The Shaykh : Is it permissible to sit with him, and where?

The questioner : Under the electoral headquarters, if it is set up as an electoral headquarters so that people come.

The Shaykh : And what is the purpose of sitting with him? Is it to accommodate him or to advise him?

The questioner : No, by Allah, O Shaykh, the purpose is neither advising nor...

The Shaykh : O people, may Allah reward you. Did the Messenger (peace be upon him) sit with the polytheists?

The questioner : Yes, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Fine, why did he sit with them?

The questioner : For the sake of advising, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Fine, is there a reverse difference? Is it permissible for the infallible Prophet to sit with polytheists, but not permissible for a non-infallible Muslim to sit with a Muslim who adopts a methodology contrary to the Book and the Sunnah? Is it not permissible to sit with him for the sake of advice? But for the sake of hypocrisy, that is not permissible.

The questioner : O Shaykh, for example, we advised him, but I came to sit like this to drink tea or eat...

The Shaykh : I told you, if the sitting is for the sake of accommodating him, that is not permissible. But if it is for the sake of advising, that is obligatory.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And may He reward you.
