Remarks by Ali Hasan regarding Thabit ibn al-Harith and that he narrates from a Companion

Al-Halabi : Our Shaykh mentioned in his explanation of this hadith a strong answer as well in establishing his status as a Companion after these proofs, and that is that he was found to have a narration in which he narrates from the Companions; he himself narrates from the Companions. So even if it occurs from some of the Companions, in the sense of the elders narrating from the juniors, for a Companion to narrate from a Companion, this is rare, and especially since his status as a Companion has not been established, it is all the more likely that he is a Companion who narrates from his peers.
