Explanation of the Rule: What is contrary to analogical reasoning cannot be used as a basis for analogical reasoning

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : There is a jurisprudential rule that students of knowledge must be aware of and must be well-versed in, which is: "What is contrary to analogical reasoning (qiyas) cannot be used as a basis for analogical reasoning." In other words, and perhaps more clearly: if the original ruling is forbidden, and then a part of it is excepted, that part cannot be used as a basis for extending the exception to other parts. This is because those other parts remain covered by the general text. Only the specific part that was excepted is considered an exception, and we say that it is excepted. As for attaching other things to this exception, every time we attach something to it, we invalidate other parts of the general text.
As for children's toys, where did we take the evidence for their permissibility from? We have only two hadiths: one regarding the play of 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) with her daughters, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) allowing her neighbors to play with her. These were household toys, and among them was a horse with two wings. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon her, he said:
O 'Aishah, a horse with two wings?! يا عائشة ، فرس لها جناحان ؟ !
She said: "O Messenger of Allah, has it not reached you that the horses of Sulayman (peace be upon him) had wings?" So he (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed and remained silent.
The second hadith is that the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "We used to fast our children on the Day of 'Ashura and make toys for them from wool to distract them from food and drink until the evening." From this hadith and that one, we took the permissibility of these household toys. As for attaching to them these toys that come from Europe, that is the furthest thing from being permissible.
