The Shaykh : Yes, this hadith is not authentic in terms of its chain of narration. It is included in my book, or my two books, *Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Da'ifah wa al-Mawdu'ah* (The Chain of Weak and Fabricated Hadiths) and the other book, *Da'if al-Jami' al-Saghir* (The Weak Hadiths of the Small Jami'). In my opinion—and this is, of course, a personal opinion, encouraged by my reliance on the science of hadith and my knowledge of the weakness of this hadith's chain—I am bold enough to say that in my opinion, one of the narrators of this hadith made a mistake, and the well-known hadith, whose authenticity is established in al-Bukhari and Muslim, regarding the story of the 'Aryan, was reversed upon him. This is a story known to all students of knowledge, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to go outside the city, drink from the urine of the camels, and treat themselves by drinking from the milk of the camels and treating themselves with their urine. Indeed, they recovered, and after they recovered, they were overconfident in their strength and killed the shepherd. You know the full story. It appears that one of the narrators of this weak hadith assumed from this hadith, or deduced from this hadith, that the urine of camels is indeed a cure, and this text resulted from that. In any case, it is weak and its attribution to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is not valid. Rather, whoever seeks evidence should only seek evidence from the story of the 'Aryan.

The questioner: Yes.
