The doubt regarding jihad under other than an imam, and their argument using the Battle of Mu'tah and the appointment of Khalid by the Muslims

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : For example, it is a response to: There is no jihad without an imam.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : He says: The basis of this issue—meaning for the response—is the hadith of the Battle of Mu'tah.

Another questioner: Peace be upon you.

The questioner: And upon you peace.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Welcome.

Another questioner : May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : How are you?

Another questioner : May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : Welcome, and upon you be peace and the mercy and blessings of Allah.
Yes.

The questioner : He says: The hadith of the Battle of Mu'tah, where the Companions appointed Khalid over them when their commanders were killed and they were in the absence of the supreme imam, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was pleased with their action. And the hadith of 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called us, so we pledged allegiance to him. Among what he took from us was that we pledged to him on obedience in our ease and our hardship, in our comfort and our distress, and when we are deprived of our rights, and that we will not contest authority to its rightful people. He said:
unless we noticed him having open Kufr (disbelief) for which we would have a proof with us from Allah إلا أن تروا كفرًا بواحًا عندكم من الله فيه برهان
Sahih al-Bukhari 7055, 7056
.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : He says: And we ask the people of this doubt how the Muslims will fight in this state where there is no imam? How will the preparations be made? And this doubt—he says—is from the core of the belief of the Shi'ah: There is no jihad in the path of Allah until al-Rida emerges from the family of Muhammad.

The Shaykh : Until who emerges?

The questioner : Al-Rida.

The Shaykh : Yes.

Another questioner : From the last of the imams.

The Shaykh : Yes, the expected Mahdi, meaning.
Okay; what else is there?
