The questioner : The thing I mentioned about the deficiency in the Dawah group, which is knowledge or scholars, does this exist?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Especially... he is inside Jordan, specifically.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : As for countries outside this country, praise be to Allah, we have found many scholars.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : But inside this country, it is possible...

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : As for another thing, which is their lack of focus on the word of tawhid (the oneness of Allah).

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : This is the fundamental thing in the outings, especially when there are new people who are affected; meaning, they occupy their time... for example, from the morning period, nine in the morning, until half an hour before the Zuhr prayer, which is training on six attributes. From these attributes, the first attribute is certainty embodied in the good word, "La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah" (There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : Its interpretation is, "There is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allah," as I mentioned.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : Ah, "And there is no path that leads us to the pleasure of Allah and leads us to the Paradise of Allah except the path of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)."

The Shaykh : (peace and blessings be upon him).

The questioner : This is the first attribute.

The Shaykh : This is the truth.

The questioner : From the attributes they train on in this outing, the second attribute comes, which is prayer, the gate of khushu' (humility) and submission, and the third attribute is knowledge.

The Shaykh : Pardon me, but prayer, my brother, they circle around khushu' and submission, but they do not circle around the attribute of the prayer that is acceptable to Allah; because the Messenger (peace be upon him) used to say:
A man may pray a prayer, and nothing is recorded for him from it except a tenth, a ninth, an eighth إن الرجل لَيُصليِّ الصلاة ما يُكتب له منها إلا عشرها ، تسعها ، ثمنها
, and so on until he said (peace be upon him):
half of it نصفها
. If we do not combine urging people to khushu' and submission to Allah in prayer with perfecting the prayer according to its pillars and obligations, we will not have completed the obligation that was taken upon the people of knowledge.

The questioner : There is no doubt in that.

The Shaykh : Ah, but the important thing is that they do not do this, my brother. So you, as one like your story, should remind these people that it is not enough that we waste five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes, more or less, around one side only of what relates to prayer, which is khushu', but rather that the prayer be taken as a whole!

The questioner : ... prayer as...

The Shaykh : And it is not necessary that this be taken from my book or from a book of mine other than this; they take it from the books of the Sunnah, and they are widespread, yes. Now, you say that you found scholars there, but here there are no scholars!

The questioner : There are, but they are few, meaning.

The Shaykh : Yes, yes, now, did you hear the research on tawhid and its types there? Tawhid al-rububiyyah (oneness of lordship), tawhid al-uluhiyyah (oneness of worship), tawhid al-asma' wa al-sifat (oneness of the names and attributes)? I do not think so!

The questioner : It is that our sitting, you know, we might sit in this gathering for a day or two and move on; meaning, we might hear a recitation or explanation for half an hour, an hour, two hours, but not more.

The Shaykh : Yes, but I am saying as principles of the Dawah, every Dawah has its principles, meaning, for example, what are the principles of the Salafi Dawah now? Returning to the Book and the Sunnah and the methodology of the Salaf al-Salih (the earliest generations), three things, the Book and the Sunnah and on the methodology of the Salaf al-Salih, these are its principles as a foundation, then the details come, starting from 'aqidah (creed) to how to eat and drink and so on, all of this is in the Sunnah. So I do not think the principles of the Tabligh Dawah include caring about tawhid with this detail that I explained to you a side of, and by which the Muslim is saved on the Day of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is not from the principles of the Tabligh Dawah, neither here nor there. So the problem is not that we do not have many scholars here as you say, while there are many scholars there; that is not the problem. Now, if it were assumed, I give you an example, if it were assumed that the book "Sifat Salat al-Nabi" (The Description of the Prophet's Prayer) or something else on its methodology was made obligatory for every individual of the Tabligh group to embody the description of prayer from this book, do you not see with me that the Tabligh group has no difference between the Indian, the Pakistani, the Portuguese Muslim, and so on, they will all be on one prayer? Why? Because it was made obligatory upon them... the methodology is that they take, for example, the prayer from this book, or as is the reality now, for example, "Riyad al-Salihin" (The Gardens of the Righteous); if it were made obligatory upon the Tabligh group to adopt all the hadiths of "Riyad al-Salihin" with the correct understanding, even if briefly, there would be a unity of thought between every individual of the Tabligh group. This thing does not exist; therefore, this is one of the things that the Tabligh group is advised to include in their program, and I know.

The questioner : This is a good thing, yes.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : A good thing.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you.
