It is stated in the book *Tala'is Iblis* or others that the young boy is kissed by twelve... unlike the woman. What is the authenticity of this statement?

The questioner : Also, the book *Tala'is Iblis* and the book *Al-Kaba'ir* state that the matter... is unlike the woman, and they mention narrations from Sufyan and Ahmad ibn Hanbal and many of our righteous predecessors, and Allah knows best.

The Shaykh : These are all narrations, meaning in scientific hadith terminology, they are *mu'addal* (defective). If they were from the Companions, they would be *mawquf* (stopped at a Companion), but since they are from those below them, they are *mu'addal*; so in such words, scholars are lenient in the context of warning against being tempted by young boys; but
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. يا أهل الكتاب لا تغلوا في دينكم ولا تقولوا على الله إلا الحق
[An-Nisa 4:171]
excess in religion is not approved. So we say if it is established that there is a young boy who is truly a trial like a girl, one should avoid mixing with him and sitting with him without these exaggerations, which are multiples of what is said about girls, and as in some narrations
The trial of the sons of kings is more severe than the trial of virgin girls, the chaste girls. إن فتنة أولاد الملوك أشد من فتنة البنات الأبكار البنات العذاري
and so on; in any case, I say, unfortunately, if they were lenient in saying that it is permissible to narrate weak hadiths in encouraging and warning, then they should be even more lenient in narrating these *mu'addal* narrations.
