What happened between Shaykh Al-Albani and Ali al-Hajj when they met?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We have heard that the brother Ali ibn al-Hajj visited you. I am not asking for details, but rather, in brief, what took place between you two?

The Shaykh : Nothing of note took place between us, because the man was traveling and in a hurry. He promised us that he would return for a private visit so that we could discuss with him some of the issues that had been raised, in which we had not been able to express our full views.

The questioner : Because some people here are saying that you recorded two cassettes with him, but we told them, "Bring us these two cassettes," and they did not give them to us?

The Shaykh : He who lacks a thing cannot give it!

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : He refused to be recorded.

The questioner : He was the one who refused!

The Shaykh : How could he not? But a long discussion took place with him regarding his refusal, and then he reluctantly agreed. I recorded fragments, and I do not know that they became two cassettes until later!

The questioner : May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : And may He reward you.

The questioner : Another question.
