The Shaykh : And of this type is the hadith of A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) would kiss some of his wives and then stand up for prayer without performing wudu. كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يقبّل بعض نسائه ثم يقوم إلى الصلاة ولا يتوضأ
which is a valid hadith by the totality of its chains, even though al-Bayhaqi (may Allah have mercy on him) weakens this hadith. He says that the hadith is weak from all of its chains. But, glory be to Allah, where is he from the rule that a weak hadith is strengthened by the multiplicity of its chains? Why is that?
