What is the authenticity of the hadith of 'Umarah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling fruits until they ripen? Is it valid despite being mursal?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the hadith of al-Shafi'i from 'Umarah bint 'Abd al-Rahman
that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade selling fruit until it was clear of blight أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن بيع الثمار حتى تنجو من العاهة
Muwatta Malik 31:12
It is known that 'Umarah received much knowledge from 'Aishah, so it is mursal. This hadith is valid.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is valid and has many corroborating narrations.

The questioner : So, the 'illah (operative cause) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said, "It came to us"
until it was clear of blight حتى تنجو من العاهة
Muwatta Malik 31:12
Meaning, does the 'illah apply to the sale of all fruits?

The Shaykh : Of course. Without a doubt, all fruits that have seasons and times when they are feared to be afflicted with a defect are not permissible to sell until that season has passed by custom. It is not specific to dates, for example, or any other item.
