Some party members criticize us for not joining them in their gatherings and accuse us of open sinfulness and disbelief. What is your response to them?

The questioner : The Algerian: Regarding some callers in the city of Oran, they accused us of not going out with them for the gathering or the march, saying that we are disbelievers or open sinners.

The Shaykh : Well, my brother, this has nothing to do with knowledge. They accuse us, and this is the way of Allah in His creation. We call to the Book and the Sunnah, following the methodology of the righteous predecessors. So the response to them is easy. Do you call to the Book and the Sunnah, following the methodology of the righteous predecessors? If they say yes, then what is the difference between us and you?
I say the difference is that they formed a bloc and a party, and they separated from the Muslims by their bloc. Whoever is with them in their party is a Muslim, and whoever is not with them is not. So they are the ones who have separated, as long as our methodology is the Book and the Sunnah, and what our righteous predecessors were upon. Let them say what they wish after that. But the important thing is that you confront them. They accuse you of this accusation. Well, are you with us in the Book and the Sunnah and the methodology of the righteous predecessors? Yes. So why do you say we are hypocrites or apostates or something similar?
So this matter does not have that level of severity. Because such liars and fabricators who lie and fabricate, we have no recourse with them except to entrust their affair to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And we say, first, as narrated from some of the previous prophets when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned a prophet whom his people struck, and he was saying: So we say this, or we say if they are insistent on their misguidance, then He will take revenge on them as our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) wills.
