Ibrahim Shuqara: Please allow me to add a comment on ... .
The Shaykh: Please, go ahead.
Ibrahim Shuqara: In truth, what the two noble brothers pointed out is a reality, without doubt. Perhaps it is the contagion that spread it, just as contagion spreads disease from one place to another; so this contagion also spread from one country to another. Perhaps the development of this contagion had not occurred before it was transferred from the country where this disease occurred to the other country. If they had truly understood the nature of this contagion, they would not have moved, nor would they have sought to facilitate the means by which this contagion transfers this disease from that country to this country that the noble brother mentioned. So I say, in addition to what you mentioned, the cure lies in two main points. The first point is that those callers who lead the da'wah in all Muslim lands, along with their symbols—whose symbols are well known and famous—should be invited to meet with the Imam of the Sunnah in this time, who isThe Shaykh : Nasir al-Din al-Albani.
The Shaykh : Excuse me... .
Ibrahim Shuqara: They should be invited to meet with him, as it is said: "In his house, the judgment is delivered." And I say, I am directing this invitation to all my brothers who have been made famous as symbols and leaders of the da'wah in all Muslim lands, to meet with you here in this country. I will host them, and it is the Islamic right that is obligatory upon us by the Shari'ah. This is one thing. Without doubt, many of the violations or differences that occurred were the result of ijtihad. As I clarified previously in my speech, I said: We do not accuse them of bad intentions, because they are our brothers, and because they are upon the methodology that we are upon in 'aqidah, even if they differ in the ijtihad that led to what it led to. Perhaps they are excused for their ijtihad. But if this ijtihad continues on this wrong path, it will become, in the days to come, a sin that imposes itself with all its ugliness upon the Muslims in all corners of the earth. We have already begun to see its bad effects in our reality in the lands of the Muslims, in the east and west of the earth. This is the first matter. The second matter is that there should be preparation for this meeting that takes place with you, with specific questions that each one of them puts forward, in two or three questions. Let them choose whatever questions they wish ... not more than three questions, because if these questions exceed their limit, it will become very difficult, as days and nights, and perhaps months, will pass and the matter will not end. So, for each one, or let each of these brothers choose—we can specify them and say so-and-so and so-and-so from such-and-such a country, and so-and-so and so-and-so from such-and-such a country, and so on. And I believe that the commotion that was stirred up in the lands of the Muslims is no longer, in my belief and opinion, something that came from three or four of the brothers in all corners of the Islamic world, because the Islamic world is affected, or is quickly affected ... especially its youth, because they are truly thirsty for Islam to have a day. This is a matter with Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). So I say, with these two main matters, there can be clarification of the issues on which there is disagreement. And I think that your invitation which you directed to our brother Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Khaliq, if it is nothing other than what we are saying now, and if Allah (Mighty and Majestic) wills, this matter will be realized, and there will be all good for these callers and all Muslims.
The Shaykh : If Allah wills.
Ibrahim Shuqara: And I say, to complete that ... I say, to complete that, after agreement is reached, of course, and I do not want to ... of course, we do not compel people; we do not have the sword of the sultan, as it is said. Rather, I say, after agreement on this, and these seminars or these questions and their answers and their discussion are recorded in the presence of a number of wise brothers, and these recordings are put down on written papers, and then distributed in the corners of the Islamic world after the
agreement on them is completed, and everyone pledges to Allah
(Mighty and Majestic) that they will not deviate from the methodology from now on.
The Shaykh: Well done, and may Allah reward you with good. What do you have?
The Shaykh: Please, go ahead.
