Clarification that it is obligatory for scholars in every place to explain major shirk to their people so that they may guard against it.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So I say from this place a word to all the scholars of the Muslims, and I ask Allah to convey this speech of mine to them, that it is obligatory upon them, and they are accountable to Allah, because they are the heirs of the prophets, to convey to their ignorant people that such actions are shirk that nullifies the deed, so that people may be upright in obedience to Allah. Do you not know that if a student of knowledge, younger than these common people, came to them and said to them, "This is shirk and this is forbidden," what would their stance be toward this student who is younger than them? Perhaps they would stone him and say, "You are more knowledgeable than so-and-so and more knowledgeable than so-and-so." So the great scholars in all Islamic lands have a great responsibility, and Allah will surely ask them about this, because they are the heirs of the prophets; Allah the Exalted gave them the inheritance so that they would perform gratitude for it and convey it to His servants. You do not think that the knowledge Allah gives you has no zakah, if wealth must be purified and paid from, then knowledge must be purified; it must be conveyed to the ignorant so that they worship Allah with understanding. And even so, if Allah guides one man through you, that is better for you than red camels, the best types of wealth, and you are safe and your obligation is discharged.
