The Shaykh : However, there is evidence from the Sunnah that the two feet are kept together during prostration. It is established in Sahih al-Bukhari in the story of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) losing sight of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: “My hand fell upon his two feet, which were upright, while he was in prostration. A hand does not fall upon two feet unless they are joined together.” Ibn Khuzaymah also narrated it in his Sahih.
