An Important Principle: Preferring One Statement Over Another Is Not Achieved Except Through Two Things: The Evidence of Preference and the Response to the Evidence of the Opposing View.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Preferring one statement over another is not achieved except through two things: The first is the evidence of preference, and the second is the response to the evidence of the opposing view. Now, we have mentioned the evidence of preference, so what remains is the response to the evidence of the weaker opposing view. They say that Allah said:
Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa سبحان الذي أسرى بعبده ليلاً من المسجد الحرام إلى المسجد الأقصى
[Al-Isra 17:1]
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken on the Night Journey from the house of Umm Hani. The response to that is to say: No, he was taken from the Hijr. Where is the location of the Hijr? It is in this mosque, in the mosque of the Ka'bah, as established in the authentic collections that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
While I was sleeping in the Hijr, a person came to me and split what was between my neck and the lower part of my belly. بينما أنا نائم في الحجر أتاني آت وشق ما بين نحره إلى أسفل بطنه
The hadith is long. They said another piece of evidence is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended at al-Hudaybiyyah and stayed in the open area (Hill) while he was praying in the Sacred Precinct (Haram). Al-Hudaybiyyah is a known place, part of which is in the open area and part of which is in the Sacred Precinct. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was staying in the open area, but he was praying in the Sacred Precinct. However, this is not evidence, because his prayer in the Sacred Precinct only indicates the preference of the Sacred Precinct over the open area, which is undoubted, but it does not indicate the specific multiplication which is one hundred thousand prayers.
