But He casts His veil over it*** He is the Veiler and the Owner of Forgiveness (Explaining the perfection of the name of Allah, the Modest, and the effect of this name in answering the supplication of His servant)

The Shaykh :"But He casts His veil over it***"
Or
"His veil*** He is the Veiler and the Owner of Forgiveness"
This is the Modest One. How many sins do we commit secretly from the servants of Allah, yet they are known to Allah? And yet He covers us because He is Modest. If someone were to say, "The Modest one usually feels shy about actions that concern him," it would be said, "The Modest one also feels shy about the actions of others." For this reason, you find that a modest person feels shy to narrate the sins of others out of shyness. How much more so if he has the right to punish? You will find that he fears or feels shy to punish others. Therefore, modesty is an attribute of perfection because it indicates the perfection of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in covering and His mercy toward His servant. If it were not for that, people would be exposed. If everything that Allah knows about us were published, we would not walk on the earth. Do you understand? But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is Modest and Generous; He is shy to expose His servant with punishment. Likewise, from His (Glorified and Exalted is He) modesty, when a person raises his hands to Him asking, He is shy to return his hands empty. He must receive something with this supplication: the reward of attaining what he asked for, or that He averts from him an evil that is greater. It must be so; it is not possible that... it be without benefit. All right.
