Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy الرحمن الرحيم
This means that He is the One of boundless, vast mercy who shows mercy to those who deserve mercy. Allah the Exalted said:
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills يعذب من يشاء ويرحم من يشاء
[Al-'Ankabut 29:21]
So He is the One of the vast, all-encompassing mercy for everything, even the disbeliever, for Allah has shown him mercy by what He has bestowed upon him of this world. And were it not for the mercy of Allah upon the disbeliever in this world, he would have perished. But he has no share in the mercy of Allah in the Hereafter. Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said:
(106) On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject." (107) But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally. يوم تبيض وجوه وتسود وجوه فأما الذين اسودت وجوههم أكفرتكم بعد إيمانكم فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرون وأما الذين ابيضت وجوههم ففي رحمة الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:106-107]
O Allah, make us among them.
The student: Amen.

The Shaykh : O Allah, make us among them, O Allah, make us among them.
The student: Amen.

The Shaykh :
within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally. ففي رحمة الله هم فيها خالدون
[Ali 'Imran 3:107]
So those whose faces are blackened are not in the mercy of Allah, but in the justice of Allah Mighty and Majestic. He did not punish them except for their sins. So "The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy" means the One of the vast, all-encompassing mercy for all creation. Even the disbeliever has mercy from Allah? Answer.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Even the disbeliever has mercy from Allah?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, but in this world, but in this world. As for the Hereafter, he has no mercy. And yet, my brothers, the mercy of Allah the Exalted for the disbeliever in this world is a calamity for him, because anything he enjoys of this world is a loss for him and a sin for him. Listen to the saying of Allah Mighty and Majestic:
Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say, "They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." قل من حرم زينة الله التي أخرج لعباده والطيبات من الرزق قل هي للذين آمنوا في الحياة الدنيا خالصة يوم القيامة
[Al-A'raf 7:32]
As for those who disbelieved, they do not [have it]. They enjoy these blessings, and it is a gradual leading astray from Allah the Exalted for them, so it is a punishment and a calamity.
