The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: The Later Scholars Did Not Permit Its Transmission*** Out of Cowardice and Weakness in Faith, But the Early Scholars, the Knights of *** Islam, Are the Princes of This Matter

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "The later scholars did not permit its transmission *** out of cowardice and weakness in faith"
By the later scholars, he means the people of kalam (theological discourse), because the people of kalam dislike every text that contradicts their innovation and what they are upon. Some of them even said: I wish I could erase the word "Hak" in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. وهو السميع البصير
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
in his statement:
There is nothing like unto Him ليس كمثله شيء
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
because if he said "There is nothing like Him," that is an attribute of negation, whereas "the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing" is an attribute of affirmation. So he says, I wish I could erase
and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. وهو السميع البصير
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
Why? Because it came contrary to his desire.
"But the early scholars, the knights of *** Islam, are the princes of this matter"
He means they stated what the saying of Allah the Exalted indicates:
The heavens almost break from above them تكاد السماوت يتفطرن من فوقِهن
[Ash-Shuraa 42:5]

"And Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari in *** his exegesis, both opinions were reported from him"
Recite for us the words of Ibn Jarir.
The reader: He says: "But the later exegetes, such as Ibn Kathir and others, were decisive in not presenting this second opinion, and the early scholars, the great masters of Islam, did not explicitly state it".

The Shaykh : Who is this? Al-Harras? It is not possible for him to transmit it. Better.
The student: We do not have it.

The Shaykh : Did he say nothing?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : And not here? Difficult. Yes.
The reader: "Section"
The student: Correct.

The Shaykh : Which one?
The student: In the statement of Ibn Kathir.

The Shaykh : Ibn Kathir is from the people of the Sunnah and the community. Yes.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, I do.
