The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: "And people thereafter are of three: his party, or his enemy, or an idle one who hesitates. So choose for yourself where to place yourself, for by Allah, you are not a fourth among the prominent ones."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All right, "And people thereafter" means after this division into three groups: the party, the enemy, and the idle one who hesitates. The party of Allah are the followers of His messengers, the enemies of Allah are the enemies of His messengers, and the third is idle, neither with these nor with those, because he does not look at life with seriousness, but rather looks at life as if he were a beast. He says:
"So choose for yourself where to place yourself"
Where do you place yourself? With the party, with the enemy, or with the idle one who hesitates?
"*** For by Allah, you are not a fourth among the prominent ones"
There is no fourth category; people are three groups.
