(Mentioning the difference of narrations regarding the estimation of the distance between the two gates of Paradise and reconciling them) But between them is a journey of forty *** narrated by the Ink of the Ummah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, regarding the estimation of the distance between the two gates, there are three athar (reports):
The first athar: The hadith of Laqit that between them is what? Seventy years.
And the second: Between them is a journey of forty.
And the third: Between them is a journey of three days.
The last one is munkar (denounced). Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It is a munkar (denounced) hadith, and its narrator has munkar (denounced) narrations".
So this is dropped; it is dropped and does not compete with the two preceding hadiths.
What remains is looking at the estimation of forty and the estimation of seventy. The difference between them is approximately? Hmm? Approximately half. From seventy to forty is approximately half. So how do we reconcile them?
The reconciliation between them is to say: The pace of travel differs. So the pace of loaded camels is not like the pace of fast postal riders. Thus, it is forty years considering? Hmm? The fast pace, and seventy years considering the slow pace.
This is if the hadith of Laqit is authentic. But if it is not authentic, the reliance is on what Imam Ahmad narrated as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet), and Muslim narrated it as mawquf (stopping at a Companion). But Ibn al-Qayyim says it is marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) by a second aspect. What is the second aspect? That it is marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) by legal ruling, because such a matter is not said by opinion. Yes, yes?
