The Sixth Principle: The Names of Allah the Exalted are not limited to a specific number: based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) in the famous hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The Sixth Principle: The Names of Allah the Exalted are not limited to a specific number" The Names of Allah are not limited, meaning they are not one hundred, nor two hundred, nor one thousand, nor two thousand; they are not limited, and it is not permissible for us to say that their number is such and such. The evidence is:
"Based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) in the famous hadith:
I ask You by every Name that is Yours, by which You named Yourself, or which You revealed in Your Book, or which You taught any of Your creation, or which You kept exclusive to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You أسألك بكل اسم هو لك سميت به نفسك، أو أنزلته في كتابك، أو علمته أحداً من خلقك أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 18:73
This hadith was narrated by Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, and al-Hakim, and it is authentic"
This is in the long, famous hadith of Ibn Mas'ud regarding the supplication for worry and distress. When a person is afflicted with worry or distress—and how numerous are worries and distresses—he says this supplication that Ibn Mas'ud narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your handmaiden. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree regarding me is just, and Your judgment regarding me is fair. I ask You, O Allah, by every Name that is Yours, by which You named Yourself, or which You revealed in Your Book, or which You taught any of Your creation, or which You kept exclusive to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the great Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the removal of my sadness, and the departure of my worry and distress
If he supplicates with it, Allah removes the worry and distress. The point of this hadith is his saying:
or which You kept exclusive to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 18:73
And it is known that what Allah has kept exclusive to Himself in His knowledge cannot be fully comprehended, nor is it known how much it is, nor can the essence of the name be perceived; it is unknown in quantity and unknown in its specific identity, because Allah kept it exclusive in this hadith. Yes.
He said: "And what Allah the Exalted has kept exclusive to Himself in the knowledge of the unseen cannot be enumerated or fully comprehended by anyone" There is a problem in this hadith, which is his saying:
Ibn Mas'ud reported God’s messenger as saying that if anyone is afflicted by much care he should say, “O God, I am Thy servant, the son of Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid, and at Thy disposal; my forelock is in Thy hand; Thy judgment is effective regarding me; just concerning me is Thy decree; I ask Thee by every name Thou hast by which Thou hast called Thyself, or sent down in Thy Book, or taught any of Thy creatures, or kept to Thyself in the hidden place of the unseen, to make the Qur’an the Spring of my heart and the means of clearing away my care and grief.” He declared that no one had ever said it without God removing his grief and giving him joy instead of it. Razin transmitted it. أسألك بكل اسم لك سميت به نفسك أو أنزلته في كتابك أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك
Mishkat al-Masabih 2452
The "or" here has a problem because it implies that what follows it is a separate category from what precedes it, but "and" is not a separate category; rather, it is a part of it?
The answer to this problem is to say that "or" means what? It means "and." So the intended meaning is: You named Yourself by it, and You revealed it in Your Book, or You taught any of Your creation, or You kept it exclusive to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You. And "or" came here in place of "and" to indicate the division of what Allah named Himself by. Questions now.
It is time for questions. Is there anything? Yes.
