The Shaykh : Half the reward is for the one who prays sitting in a voluntary prayer. As for the obligatory prayer, if he is able to stand, then if he sits, his prayer is invalid in all cases, except when following the imam. And if he prays following the imam, we hope that he will receive the full reward, because he only left off standing in obedience to the command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
